The effectiveness of international criminal justice depends on the political and financial support of the global political scene’s main actors. Over the years, the position of many countries towards the idea of bringing to justice war criminals before international institutions has evolved, however few countries have reported such a significant return as the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) – writes Magdalena Pacholska in the newest edition of the German Bulletin entitled „From the bench of the accused to the chamber of judges in the Hague.
