The Kingdom of Morocco – the most stable state of the European South – is economically, historically and culturally linked with Europe. It actively promotes cooperation on the continent, positioning itself as a liaison between Maghreb and sub-Saharan Africa. Among the advantages of the Moroccan market are: its stable economic and political situation, extensive trade, foreign investments, its strategic location, an extensive network of free trade agreements with other African countries and a significant presence of Moroccan companies in neighboring countries. At a conference in Warsaw organized by Bank Zachodni WBK and Santander Group the speakers emphasized, among others, how active Moroccan banks are, with AWP, which operates in Maghreb and Central-Western Africa, being the most active.
CIR’s analyst, Andrzej Turkowski, presented the political, social and cultural conditions of doing business in Morocco. The discussion was attended by, among others, the Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco in Poland and representatives of financial institutions (Santander Group, Attijariwafa Bank).
