Let’s not repeat past mistakes – an interview with prof. Muhammad Yunus

This could be the last decade for the world to make the necessary changes. The climate crisis, massive unemployment due to rapid technological development, the growing concentration of wealth and glaring social inequalities combined with growing international tensions and the growing popularity of radical movements – these are the main problems and challenges of today. On the one hand, the coronavirus pandemic caused the biggest crisis in a century, but on the other, as a result of the disruption of the functioning of economies and societies, it showed that not only can something be changed, but that these actions can be faster and more radical. This is what the Nobel Peace Prize winner, prof. Muhammad Yunus, encourages us to do.

The text is based on an interview with prof. Yunus, conducted on-line by Dr. Małgorzata Bonikowska, president of THINKTANK and CIR, on June 1, 2020.
