Germany’s eastern policy has strained the country’s position in Europe. However, it is still the largest country in the EU in terms of population and the largest EU economy. It is also Poland’s first and most important economic partner , said Dr. Bonikowska.

This is the moment in which Germany and other Western European countries are more open to listening to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland, she added.
