Polish experiences in building a civil society

Centre for Europe of University of Warsaw and Centre for International Relations invite you to a webinar  „Polish experiences in building a civil society”.

The webinar is part of a project entitled “Balkan Ambitions and Polish Inspirations”. This is a public task financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland within the grant competition “Public Diplomacy 2022”.

Our guests are:

  • Mikołaj Rakusa-Suszczewski, PhD, an Associate Professor at Centre for Europe, University of Warsaw. Sociologist and political philosopher; graduate of the Institute of Sociology at University of Warsaw and Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris. Co-founder of the Social Movements Analysis Team Foundation (ZARS).
  • Elżbieta Korolczuk, PhD, a sociologist, works at the Södertörn University in Stockholm and is also a lecturer at the American Center Studies at the University of Warsaw. She studies social movements, civil society, gender and parenting issues.
  • Grzegorz Piotrowski, PhD, works as a researcher at the European Solidarity Center in Gdańsk. Since 2019, he has also been associated with the University of Gdańsk, where he is an assistant professor at the Institute of Sociology.
  • Stefan Paweł Załęski, PhD, sociologist, social philosopher, teaching at Graduate School of Social Research, author of a monography „Neoliberalism and Civil Society
