CIR’s president, dr Małgorzata Bonikowska for BBC News
Polish society is very divided and these divisions go even further now. No one says that the ruling party shouldn’t propose the changes, but the way the party in power is doing it is very controversial and needs a wide political debate. Unfortunately, the government doesn’t want to discuss. This is why people all over the country decided to go to the streets and protest. Polish society is very much for the dialogue – this is how the transformation process started – said dr Małgorzata Bonikowska in an interview for BBC News.
