The spread of artificial intelligence will be a leap so great that we will quickly forget what it was like before, predicts futurologist Kevin Kelly, founder of US magazine “Wired”. I have no doubt that all the scenarios described here will happen. Why? Because the underlying technologies already exist. Some are still at the research stage, others could already be used, but are too expensive and uneconomic. However, the widespread adoption of 5G, the Internet of Things and the development of cloud computing services will encourage a rash of AI-based applications while lowering their costs. However, the widespread adoption of 5G, the Internet of Things and the development of cloud computing services will encourage a rash of AI-based applications while lowering their costs. Therefore we can expect a snowball effect. The only thing to argue about is the scale of the changes that AI will bring about in different areas. The degree to which these will be revolutionary and widespread depends on several factors, the most important of which is our mentality. The technological revolution in recent years has been happening so fast that we haven’t kept up with adapting to it. But when we see that in every place we come into contact with AI systems: at home, at work, on TV, on a smartphone, in a cinema, in a fitness studio, in a clinic and a hospital, artificial intelligence helps humans and makes life easier, we will come to like it.
