Report „LABOUR MARKET IN NEW NORMALITY”

The GUS data illustrating the situation on the labour market in 2020 indicate that the impact of the pandemic was most clearly visible in the first half of the year, right after the introduction of the first restrictions. If the registered unemployment rate in March was 5.4%, it rose to 5.8% in April and to 6% in May. In the following months, from June to November, it remained at the level of 6.1% in December, unemployment slightly increased to 6.2%, however, similar declines in employment were recorded at the end of the year also in previous years – writes Zbigniew Gajewski in the report.

Report prepared by the Center for International Relations and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in cooperation with the THINKTANK center.
