In this year’s expert meeting, with specialists from over 20 countries around the world, participants discussed, the impact of Russian annexation of Crimea on the international security, NATO conclusions from intervention in Afghanistan, and cyber security challenges. The “NATO – Asia / Pacific Dialogue” project provides a unique opportunity to establish connections and exchange analyses and experiences on important issues related to regional and international security. The conference was attended by dr Małgorzata Bonikowska, President of CIR. CIR is active participant in the project. The conference was held on June 23-25 in Seoul, South Korea.
Since 2011, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation regional office in Singapore, in cooperation with the NATO, has been organizing annual conferences aimed at supporting the creation of effective and lasting security alliances between NATO member countries and the Asia-Pacific region. Participants of the meetings are mainly representatives of think tanks dealing with security issues.
