However, to achieve this, India must distance itself from its longstanding friendship with Russia and position itself as a counter to China. During the broadcast, Dr. Małgorzata Bonikowska emphasized the importance of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the United States. She explained the advantages and disadvantages of India, including its cultural, religious, and political diversity, in order to transform into a regional powerhouse. India is trying to leverage its G20 presidency to not only advocate for its interests but also become a leader of the Global South.
