The Council of Europe summit discussed the future shape and values of the organization. The importance of Canada, the United States, and Europe strengthening ties with Japan and South Korea was emphasized. South Korea’s situation is comparable to that of Europe. In both cases, regimes that seek to change the existing world order pose a threat.
