Dr. Małgorzata Bonikowska, CIR’s President, stressed that the recent presidential debate could be crucial to the outcome of the presidential election, as support for both candidates Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki is currently spread almost equally.
Commenting on the candidates’ clash, Malgorzata Bonikowska noted that its outcome could also affect the pace of political events, as the president has the ability to veto laws. In her view, a scenario leading to early parliamentary elections is also possible, if we will see a sustained conflict between the new president and the government.
