Beata Górka-Winter
Dr. Beata Górka-Winter is a member of the European and Transatlantic Observatory at the Center for International Relations. Dr Górka-Winter is an analyst with a PhD in political science and lecturer at the Centre for Europe of the University of Warsaw, and the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw. She has served as a long-time coordinator of the “International Security” program at the Polish Institute of International Affairs. She is the author of numerous publications on the security policy of NATO and EU countries, peacekeeping operations, and security sector reforms. She is a lecturer at the University of Warsaw, the Vistula University of Finance and Business, the European Security and Defense College, the PISM Diplomatic Academy, the National School of Public Administration (KSAP), and the European Diplomatic Academy. She has been an OSCE election observer in Kosovo and Ukraine. She is a member of the UN Advisory Group on SSR and “Security Sector Reform in the Southern Caucasus.” A graduate of the University of Warsaw and the Jagiellonian University, she has received scholarships from the Department of State (International Visitor Leadership Program), the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Defense Nationale (IHDN), and the Swedish National Defense College.
