“Currently, we are in a phase where reconstruction efforts are underway, focusing on essential elements such as roads and buildings in the destroyed territories. However, in the future, there must be a massive involvement, akin to a second Marshall Plan, to rebuild cities, roads, airports, and critical infrastructure throughout Ukraine, addressing all areas that have been impacted,” said Dr. Małgorzata Bonikowska. She emphasized the need to prepare the required mechanisms, introduce transparency measures, and establish the institutional framework in anticipation of this crucial undertaking.
“Poland’s participation in this conference is driven by strategic reasons, as we seek to become part of the mechanisms established by the G7. Currently, Poland is not yet part of that, but we are actively preparing ourselves. Our government is working to mobilize institutional frameworks and persuade companies to get involved in Ukraine during this crucial time“, she added.
