The five local workshops will be organized with the co-operation with our local partners. The local workshops, consisting of a series of lectures will target journalists from the media outlets involved in the project but will be open to other media from a given country. The focus will be on raising knowledge and standards of professionalism of journalists writing about the European Union. Seminars will be conducted by Polish journalists  who have extensive knowledge on the EU and the pre-2004 accession process with the assistance of local specialists on EU issues. However these workshops will be tailored to a wider non-expert audience and will provide rather basic knowledge on the EU and a set of tools and ideas on how to inform the general public on EU issues.
